Fares Generally
Fares are subject to change until purchased. All fares listed on spiritair.com are per customer for each way of travel and include the base fare plus a federal excise tax. Fares do not include (a) a segment tax of $3.60 per U.S. domestic flight segment (a flight segment is defined as one takeoff and landing) of a passenger's itinerary; (b) up to $18 per round trip in local airport charges; or (c) a September 11th Security Fee of $2.50 per enplanement originating at a U.S. airport; and (d) fees from $15 for the first (1) bag (fare shown does include one free carry-on). International itineraries do not include governmental taxes and fees (including U.S. government excise tax) of up to $125 per round trip. Additionally, if sold in, or travel originates in a country outside of the U.S., additional taxes may apply (up to 22% of the fare value per country). Reservations are non-transferable.
Non-refundable fares
For non-refundable reservations booked on or after February 1, 2007, (a) changes or cancellations may be made up to 24 hours prior to departure for a $100 service fee per customer for any changes made to your itinerary if changes are made online at spiritair.com and a $110 change fee for any changes made to your itinerary if changes are made elsewhere (e.g. phone reservations, at the airport), plus any difference in airfare for the alternate requested dates(s) or flight(s), (b) changes or cancellations are not permitted within 24 hours of scheduled departure, (c) failure to provide 24 hours advance notice of cancellation or change will result in the forfeiture of the reservation and its value, and (d) travel vouchers will be issued upon the making of a permitted change or cancellation (vouchers must be used for travel booked and completed within one (1) year from the booking date of the original reservation and have no cash value). Tickets are non-transferable.
Checked Baggage Fees
All Checked Baggage Charges are Non-Refundable.
Other Vouchers
Travel vouchers issued as goodwill for future travel or for promotional purposes must be used for travel booked and completed within one (1) year from the date the travel voucher was issued. Travel vouchers and gift certificates may be redeemed online at www.spiritair.com or via telephone at 1-800-772-7117 for new reservations. Vouchers have no cash value and are non-transferable.
