Information on Pre-Purchased Checked Bags
Save Money by Pre-Purchasing Your Checked Bags 

Spirit Airlines encourages using our Pre-Purchased Checked Bags service online. All customers traveling now have the option of paying in advance for checked baggage. The benefits in pre-purchasing your bags online are: guaranteed space for up to one (1) bag per flight, saves time at check-in and saves $6 on the first checked bag each way. Customers can check baggage online up to one (1) hour prior to flight departure.

How Do I Pre-Purchase My Checked Bags?

• Log in here to your My Reservation page
• Enter your last name and record locator and click the Search button
• Choose the option to purchase additional checked bags
• Select the number of bags you will be checking for each flight
• Pay using an approved credit card
• You can then print a receipt for your records  

Additional Information 

• All customers are allowed one free carry-on bag
• Customers are guaranteed up to one (1) bags if pre-purchasing online
• Checked baggage is $19 for the first (1) piece, $25 for the second (2) piece, each way when purchased online and $25 per piece, each way at the airport. (Customers will receive a discount for the first (1) checked bag when purchased online).
• There is no charge to check wheelchairs, strollers, car seats, or other assistive devices.
• Items that are overweight or oversized will continue to be weighed and sized at the airport, and fees collected when checking in.
• Golf club and boxes/containers are acceptable and can be prepaid online provided they meet weight and or size restrictions.
• Additional bags can be pre-purchased at anytime provided inventory is available. (No less than (1) hour prior to departure)
• All checked baggage fees are non-refundable
• Customers involved in a stop-over flight that involves a connection of over 4 hours will be charged based on point to point travel.
