Cancellations


Spirit Airlines offers two (2) types of air fares, Non-Refundable and Refundable.  Reservations cannot be transferred to another customer.

Customers requesting to cancel any portion of a reservation less than 24 hours prior to departure time must contact our Reservations Center or at the airport within ticketing hours.

NON-REFUNDABLE BOOKINGS

Canceling Non-Refundable Bookings:
Failure to notify Spirit Airlines in advance or by not boarding a flight results in forfeiture of the reservation.

Service Fee: $100.00 USD


Service Fee: $110.00 USD


Reservations must be cancelled prior to the actual departure time.  A service fee is deducted per person and any remaining credit stays on the original booking and can be applied toward future bookings. Credits must be used and all travel booked and completed within one (1) year from the original booking/purchase date of the original reservation.

REFUNDABLE BOOKINGS

Refundable fares are unrestricted, and changes and cancellations are not subject to service fees.  Spirit requests that all changes are made more than 24 hours prior to flight departure time.  Any unused portion of a reservation in the form of a credit may be applied to a future booking or a refund can be requested.  Credits must be used and all travel booked and completed within one (1) year from the original booking/purchase date of the original reservation.

How to cancel reservations online?

It’s very simple and easy to do it online – follow the below guidelines:

  • From HOME page >> My Reservations.
  • Enter your Last Name and Record Locator >> Search.
  • In the FLIGHT DETAILS, click CANCEL MY RESERVATIONS.
  • A reservations credit will be issued for your future travel.
  • Click CANCEL CONFIRM to continue.
  • Check your inbox for the confirmation email.

Customers requesting modifications to be made less than 24 hours prior to departure time must contact our Reservations Center or at the airport within ticketing hours.

NON-REFUNDABLE BOOKINGS

Modifying Non-Refundable Bookings:
Modifications to flights, dates, or cities should be made at least 24 hours or more and must be completed prior to the actual departure time. In addition to any change in air fare, service fees apply per customer when making changes (see table below for a listing of fees). Please note, fares generally increase closer to flight departure time. Requesting changes earlier may result in increased savings.

  • From HOME page >> My Reservations.
  • Enter your Last Name and Record Locator >> Search.
  • In the FLIGHT DETAILS, click MODIFY.
  • Search new travel date, new destination and click CONTINUE.
  • Confirm your flight by clicking PURCHASE.
  • Check your inbox for the confirmation email.
